Wards in... Assault?
Post Body

So what began as simple trolling of my friends might have turned into something genuinely useful when playing Assault,

It began while playing with 4 other friends in a game of Assault, I bought a couple of wards to place down just outside the enemy first tower for giggles and simply be annoying. However since doing it, warding early and throughout the game actually had a couple of unintended benefits.

First was the ability to see how the enemy had built before they came into normal visual range. Allowing for early poking of weaker gods and knowing who had bought beads to counter Ares' ultimate before he wasted a blink in to use it for example.

Second was an early game kill for Neith with her Ultimate which was only possible because the enemy had retreated behind the first corner but the ward revealed their position and allowed the kill before any healing could happen.

Lastly was similar to the second when the ward can reveal a cheeky Ra or Fenrir hiding around the first corner to Ra snipe and jump/ultimate a medium/low health god poking the first tower.

Now the obvious downside to this is the irritating pinging every time the gods go in and out of the ward. And believe me, it pings a lot. Which is why I only use this with a full team of friends who know I'm just being generally annoying to them and they won't get mad. I would never force that to an unfortunate team of solo queue-ers who were matched up with me.

Obviously it's very situational but are there any other thoughts or experiences about this?
