Hi again friends. This is my second (of 4) guide and today we will be looking at Ravi, a medium range brawler who specializes in Dominion game mode.
To understand the acronyms, please check out my Zeppetta guide.
Ravi has been hit by nerfs to his ult and abilities, so he has become more skill intensive, but still holds one of the strongest ults in Smash Legends.
Pros • Skills and ABA have amazing priority. • Ultimate skill is probably the best defensive skill in the game. • Can self heal. • Easy to use.
Cons • GBA is very weak with no projectile hitbox, wide dmg spread, and low range. • cannot self recover from out of bounds. • low mobility in general.
Stats
HP: 4445 -Average Health. nothing too fancy, but will at least survive a hit or two
Range: Normal - As you will see, Ravi's range is not bad at all. He can efectively pressure foes just by "threat" of being pulled in.
Speed: Normal - Ravi's mobility is definitely his biggest weakness. This is why he must be played agressively. No dashes.
Skills
- Dark Hand Calls
• GBA: a short range series of punches. - Low damage (794) - Range: 1.5(1st hit), 2.5(2nd), 4(3rd) - Standard hitbox(hit 1,2) projectile(hit 3) - Hitstun: low - Startup: low - Recovery: low A very lackluster move. It's main use is to combo after GSA. The 3rd hit is not bad, but the time it gets to get there is a steep and risky price for an at best decent poke. ☆☆
• ABA: The fist of god. - Very low damage - Range: 1 - Projectile hitbox, covers entire body - Hitstun: low, this move can spike, but is not a smash move - Startup: low - Recovery: low There's a good reason this move's range is so small. Its priority is off the charts, and covers a wide oval shaped area all around you. It's never a bad idea to throw this punch out. You can spike with this, but it requires skill and aim, and you might not be able to recover. ☆☆☆☆☆
- Abyss Overflow
• GSA: Get over here! A standard "hook" move. - Low damage - Range: 3 - Projectile hitbox - Hitstun: low (pull effect, similar to stun) - Startup: very low (4-5 frames) - Recovery: very low This is your poking tool in the ground. Low cooldown (as low as 3s) means you can spam it as well. A range of 3 means it can trade with Hook's blasters. Just a great skill overall. ☆☆☆☆☆
• ASA: Shoryuken! - Low damage - Range: 2.5 - Projectile hitbox - Hitstun: low (knock up effect) - Startup: low - Recovery: low This move is probably what most people associate Ravi with. It's vertical range is actually not bad (and higher than its horizontal range). you can use this move off a ledge to set up a spike or to guarantee a kill after enemy jumps due to the knockup resetting momentum. ☆☆☆☆
- Grim Dawn
• ULTIMATE: A big energy explosion. - High damage - Range: YES - Projectile hitbox (super armor) - Hitstun: medium, last hit is a smash attack - Startup: Long (being hit during startup somehow slows it even further) - Recovery: long The big bang. You can escape this move if hit on the edges of it by mashing jump direction away repeatedly. This move is an excellent defensive tool to help secure a zone or as a "trap" by utilizing a jumping arrow and starting it up as you fall from the sky (there is no way to counter this technique). It is a waste to use this against only 1 enemy. ☆☆☆☆
Abilities • will be added soon. • bottom line, you must run the self healing. there's no passive HP regen so heals are extremely valuable in smash legends.
