A bit different from the usual discussion here (I hope), but does anyone else find the spirits to be completely underwhelming compared to Trophies? And feel like Trophies would've provided so much more to the game?

I can imagine Trophies feel redundant in today's age. But imagine if, instead of Spirit events where we earn stickers, you could earn Trophies instead? And there was a way to display and show off your collection like on Sm4sh? It would make the entire effort of earning "legendary" items so much more interesting.

As it is, I barely do anything with the spirits; hell, I can't even be bothered to finish the story mode after all this time.

Am I alone in this? Does anyone else feel like Trophies could've added a lot to the game? Questions, queries, theories?
