I am looking for a somewhat damage resistant phone for my kid, I want to spend around $200 USD on the phone and I am willing to buy a good condition unlocked used phone or a refurbished from Backmarket. I had really good luck with them so far! - there will not be service on the phone, it will just be used at home for games and videos, photo editing, making videos.

I want an android phone, probably a Samsung, I am open to other androids though, maybe a google pixel 7a, I heard they had lots of problems though. I am open to others though.

Looking for a phone with good protection on the front glass at least.

I was looking into the rugged phones, as Samsung did have one. I don't think I could get a refurbished Samsung one though.

I don't think my kid would like the really big rugged type phones though, they seem really bulky. I mean I would get a case for the phone, however it is a fight to keep a case on the phone, so that's why I want a more damage resistant one. Some ruggeds do seem smaller I guess.
