Quitting my job means I lose my work phone. What should I get instead?

I’m quitting my job which means I’ll lose my IPhone 11. I’m moving states, taking a huge pay cut, and need something reliable.

I was thinking a google pixel but I’ve only ever used iPhone. I know there’s an iPhone forever plan with companies but I don’t know if they’re worth it.

I wouldn’t need to use my phone for much except social media and texts.
