Future remakes for Smallville

So I just finished all 10 seasons and must say that the whole series was a rollercoaster of emotions. As usually the first seasons were for me better than the last, nevertheless I like the romance between Clark and Lois. Altogether as a fan of the series I watched if they are considering to follow up on where they left, but I came across the fact that they want to do an animated series. In some fact I do like it as a lot of actors (now voice actors) could return, some may face changes (Chloe), but my questions for all you fans, what do you think about an animated series, top or flop and why?
