For what it’s worth I absolutely love sly 4 the gameplay was just as I remember, play as the ancestors, and Carmelita was in the hideout fully playable. yes the story suffered a bit and was at times very cringe and yes it left a lot to be desired with all all the other playable characters in sly 3 not included in any significant way (and teasing me with dimitri the whole time) and the cliff hanger at the end, but you can’t say you didn’t wanna see Bentley build that time machine at the end of 3, there was some to be desired there. but sanzaru did not kill the series, the series was dead before they got into the picture, and they tried to appeal to a more a child friendly audience which also made the story suffer and the time was not right if it was made today with all the remakes and remasters it would do much better in sales
