Roommates. just friends. nothing weird… but always that thing. little tension, little teasing, stolen glances when we thought the other wasn’t looking.

last night, fresh out the shower, skin still damp, just a tiny towel barely holding on. thought he was in his room, he wasn’t. ran right into him in the hallway.

froze. he stared. towel slipped a little too much. his jaw clenched, fingers twitched, eyes flicked down then back up fast.

"uh, shit, sorry," he muttered, turning away.

i should’ve pulled the towel tighter. should’ve run to my room. but instead, i smirked.

“it’s just skin,” i teased, shifting just enough to let the towel ride higher, lower… watching his knuckles go white at his sides.

his eyes dragged over me again, slower this time. voice rough. “yeah, just skin.”

but we both knew it wasn’t.
