New to reddit but wanted to share a recent experience. Im a 26 year old guy and i own a couple of rental properties. 1 of which is rented to 2 college girls. 1 is 18 and the other is 19. About 2 weeks ago the 18 year old texted me and told me that she was going to be late on rent and that her friend doesnt have enough to cover the amount she is short. I hadnt been to this property in 6 months or so as everything was fine and they were paying. So i told her id come by as i needed to check on the house anyways and make sure everything was fine with it. While there she basically asked me with out directly saying it if there was any way she could do anything for me to let her portion of rent slip this month. Long story short she got her lil pussy bred and still paid me what she had. In all honesty i wish all my tenants were like this. Will prob be a consistent thing with her moving forward as the portion her room mate pays pretty much covers my mortgage on the house so im not loosing anything other than a little cash.
