There is so much inappropriate behavior on my SIL's part over the last several years. Every time something happens it is always dismissed my my wife and her family as "that's just how she is".

This weekend we hosted a party for my SIL. We arranged sitters for all the kids in the form of sleepovers so that the adults could drink freely and not have a cutoff time.

My SIL was up to her usual nonsense, this time with friends. Her husband had to work so he did not stay over. My wife went to bed earlier than the rest of us. Once left without those two, the drunk shenanigans with my SIL and her friends multiplied and I ended up letting it get out of hand.

Most fun in a long time but also now feel incredibly guilty.
