Why do so many posts on this sub disappear?

I’ve noticed that I’ll see a hot post on this sub and a few hours later I’ll come back to read it again and it’s gone. Or I comment and then within minutes it disappears. Is that normal for this sub? It’s quite frustrating. I recently discovered this sub and love it. It’s quite annoying though to see how flaky it is.
