So I (a late 20s trans woman) went to the lingerie store today looking for a new bra and a proper measurement. I've done it myself up til now, and while I was confident in my technique it never hurts to get a second opinion.

Or so I thought when I went in today.

So I'm standing there looking stupid, pawing through bras, when I get approached by a rather tall brunette who would probably be somewhat of an Amazon to most but was oddly similar to my own build (5'10, hourglass shape). She asks if I need help and I can't manage to answer so I just nod.

I'm going to mention at this point that I don't pass. I'm obviously in that awkward androgynous stage and I don't wear a lot of super girly clothing unless I'm at home, so she obviously clocks me and yet she's so nice. Putting her hand on my shoulder, jokingly touching my chest when she talks, smiling and joking with me. We take a look at a few styles and then she asks if I want a measurement. I nod again (I'm bad at answering when I'm flustered and it's a sensitive subject!) and she takes me into the changing room with a few of the bras I'd chosen, obviously thinking she's going to have to swap them for me.

She pulls out a measuring tape (one of those soft cloth types with no retractor, old school) and tells me to take off my shirt. I'm so damn flustered I turn around (there's a big fucking mirror behind me so that doesn't help!) and I strip down to nothing. She asks to see my old bra (a basic bitch tan one) and checks the size, then starts.measuring without a word.

She gets through the measurement and says "oh, you have the right size, so these will work fine" and just starts strapping one on me, taking great care to push it up (grope my breasts) and show me how to seat.mt breasts in the cups (reach in and adjust my breasts inside the bra). She complimented me, saying they were "coming along nicely" and mentioned she had one of the same bras I picked, lauding my choices.

She stayed in the changing area until I tried all the bras, helping me put all three on, and then told me which I should get and which I should put back. She actually told me to put the more expensive one back, saying they looked better in the cheaper two. I ended up buying the middle priced one in beige and black, and she rang me out and walked me to the exit, touching my arm, and chatting away the whole time.

Standing outside the shop, inside the mall, I looked back into the store expecting it to be empty, but it wasn't. There were a bunch of good looking women in there buying things and browsing. She didn't need to take such good care of me.

Was she hitting on me? I'm not sure. But it sure did feel like she was groping and grabbing my breasts with a reckless abandon even I don't always possess.

I can't say I minded, either. I'll be going back there for sure. 🙈
