Hi everyone,
I made two order to PSS, one small (2) and one large (7). Spoiler alert: PSS might be my new fav shop!!
I don’t have photos of the initial two slimes, but here are the reviews for them:
- Crab-sicle (semi block bead)
Texture: 7/10. Wish there were more block beads, but it’s pretty good as a silky base without them.
Scent: 10/10. Absolutely delicious orange creamsicle. Smells as described.
- Phish Food (floam)
Texture: 10/10. An amazing floam. Perfect ratio of beads to base. PSS has revived my love for floams.
Scent: 10/10. Loooove it! Mint chocolate chip. Smells as described.
Now for the slimes in the images above.
- S’mores Cream (wood glue slay)
Texture: 10/10. Wood glue makes it a denser with a more resistant stretch. A very satisfying stretch!
Scent: 5/10. My least favorite scent of these orders. I think I’m realizing I dislike chocolate scents in general, as I ordered a mocha scent from a different shop and it smelled exactly like this one. It’s not my thing.
- Cornbread Crumbs (floam)
Texture: 9/10. After loving Phish Food, I had to get another floam. This one is just as good, though a bit over activated.
Scent: 6/10. Not my thing. It doesn’t smell like cornbread to me. Very artificial.
- Seaside Smoothie Bowl (snow slay)
Texture: 10/10. The snow makes it like a moist slay. Very interesting! I enjoy it.
Scent: 100000/10. My favorite scent of this batch!!! A perfect blend of berry and coconut. Smells as described.
- Dole Whip (Korean slay)
Texture: 10/10. It’s a slay. Nothing spectacular or different to report. It’s great if you love slays like me!
Scent: 10/10. Love this one, because I love fruity smells. Smells like a sweet gummy pineapple.
- Bonfire Embers (perlite slay)
Texture: 7/10. It needs more perlite. I can hardly feel the perlite except for when I initially press it into the slime.
Scent: 10/10. I’m not sure how to describe this scent but it’s good. Fresh. Doesn’t smell like a campfire but it’s good regardless.
- Pool Party (butter x clear)
Texture: 10/10. It’s a decent butter. It was fun mixing in the clear and seeing the streaks of blue as you mix it in.
Scent: 8/10. Decent scent but not my favorite. It’s not too strong though, so shouldn’t interfere with play even if you dislike it.
- Fun in the Sun (block bead)
Texture: 6/10. Even though it claims to be a packed block bead slime, it’s not. I was really looking forward to a super packed block bead slime and was pretty disappointed by this one. It needs as least double the amount.
Scent: 6/10. Smells too artificial for me, though it’s pretty close to as described. (Salt water taffy and mango gummy)
Overall: 8/10.
PSS slimes have a signature feel to them. It’s silky, non-tacky, with not too strong scents. I love it. I had an issue with adding an incorrect slime to my order, and after messaging them they switched it out with the one I wanted (so good customer service)! Would I buy from PSS again? Yes!!
Pros: Slimes are non-tacky and came mostly perfectly activated. Deals are regularly offered on PSS’s Instagram. The scents are usually good imo, and when they’re not the scents aren’t strong enough to be a huge issue. Great, clear advertising on Instagram before restock.
Cons: Some slimes came spilling out of the containers, which led to some messy cleanup, especially since the labels were not slime-proof. On Instagram they said they were upgrading to slime proof ones so this should be resolved. There are not enough beads in the block bead slimes. There are so many slay slimes so you might get bored if you don’t like slay slimes.
