3 days with my CPAP
Post Body

Hi! I just got my CPAP machine on Tuesday and so far I dont know what to think. I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea. My doctor told me I experienced 15 to 30 AHI in my sleep. It varies on my sleep position. I have a Philips dream station.

The first night that I used it was weird. I woke up and my mask was off. When I checked the machine it said I only had it disconnected for 0.04 hr. Looked that up and it was only like 3 minutes or something like that. Despite that I felt so much better. I still feel kind of tired, but it was so much easier waking up. I dont feel groggy in the morning and it's like someone flipped a light switch on. Now my AHI ranges from 3 to 7 so far, but there are more things on the app I use like, "clear way apneas" that are at 11 or 9.

Ever since that first night I've been removing my mask while I sleep. Each time it ranges from 3 to 10 minutes of complete disconnect before I wake up and see it's off. I put it back on when I notice it. The other day I was way too tired and just fell back to sleep on accident. I definitely noticed a difference when I woke up. I felt awful. I'm worried though I'm not using my CPAP correctly. Should I still feel kind of tired? I don't feel as foggy and everything is a lot more clear, but I don't know if that is a clear indication it's working. I'm also worried about my mask coming off and if my machine is recording everything accurately.
