..I'm still exhausted every day. Ive had my BiPAP nearly 4 months now. I saw my doctor at 1 month and he said my apnea events were down to 1 an hour and he was satisfied with all the numbers. I mentioned to him I wasn't feeling any benefit from the treatment and he told me to give it time, another couple months I'd pay off the sleep debt and feel better. Nearly 3 months later and no improvement.
I feel like I'm sleeping through 80-90% of the night, I still wake up a few times due to unrelated back pain and sympathetic nerve pain in my leg and the occasional mask leak. Still sleeping significantly better than before but I feel no change in my sleepyness. I sit at my desk staring at my screen like a zombie. I come home and just watch TV because I dont have it in me to do anything else and all day I count down the minutes to bedtime because those 8 hours are my only reprieve from feeling tired.
I'm going to schedule another appointment with my doctor and wonder what should I expect or if I should discuss anything specific with him. Could there be something else going on? Is it still possible 16 weeks in of 7-12 hours of usage every single night to still be paying off my sleep debt? I'm beginning to genuinely worry this is all in my head or I'm just weak and this is how tired everyone feels but I just can't handle it.
Has anyone else had a similar experience to me?
