22F Was recently diagnosed with severe apnea after having severe daytime exhaustion and constantly falling asleep everywhere.
Went on a cpap two months ago. I’ve tried all the masks, different humidity levels, different pressures, you name it. And I always wake up choking. I don’t know why, and unfortunately my doctor doesn’t seem to want to investigate.
I wake up every 20-30 minutes choking and unable to breathe and am literally having to rip the mask off just to get a breath. It’s absolutely terrifying.
The point of that all is that, I’m even more tired now than ever. I keep trying to push thru but I feel like I’m on the edge of a breakdown due to lack of sleep. My pulmonologist just keeps saying I’m fine.
I don’t feel fine, I don’t even feel okay. I feel like I’m losing my mind. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I just want some words of encouragement to keep me sane.
