US medical coding
Post Body

It has been recommended that I get a uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (uvula and soft palate surgery CPT 42145) for my severe obstructive sleep apnea (61.9 ahi). I already had a turbinoplasty (turbinates) and septoplasty (deviated septum) a few years ago, but it seems the OSA has stayed more or less the same (I was at 59 ahi before).

Anyway, all of this to ask what codes are commonly billed alongside this code? Such as anesthesia code or any additional codes for removing the tonsils and adenoids) I am trying to estimate the cost of the surgery. My insurance was no help and the hospital hasn't gotten back to me, but I am expecting the runaround when they do.
