Wanting to do a solo jump but worried about the strength needed for landing
Post Body

Hi I'm female 23 year old, roughly 70kg, 5ft 3. I go to the gym average 4 days a week and train weights. (Only as of April 2021)

I'm a bit worried that I won't have the strength to pull the the parachute to land. I did a tandem in 2019 and the instructor gave me the handles to try however they were so heavy to maneuver.

I've wanted to do an AFF level 1 course since I was 19. I've recently researched and the one I found near me advises you to be able to pull with one hand 30lb. I can pull using both at that strength but with a hard push.

How long do you think it would take me to build the strength for this? What excercise would you recommend for this too?

Thank you :)

Update: Thank you to everyone that commented! You have all been so encouraging and have given me more confidence with this :) I will work on the areas that some of you mentioned in the gym! Thank you so much!

Female here, 52 kg and a C license jumper- u will be fine. Tandems are much harder than regular canopies.
