To start off, I am not a fighting game person. Most experience I have is playing Mkx and 11 when they came out and a bit of smash when I go to my friends. I say without a doubt this blows those games out of the water when it comes to my enjoyment.

I found this through being recommended to me on the Google play store and I assumed it was one of those character collectathons that begs you to buy all this stuff, but I am very happy I was wrong. Immediately I was hooked and engrossed by the artsyle. Each character such such incredible and abstract designs that are very pleasing to look at from both an artistic and yes, waifu standpoint. After some time playing the (insert portable device because it deltes my post if i say the M word) version and being amazed by all the incredible and unique animations I knew there had to be more, and I was right. I read up on the unfortunate history of Konami and the publishing issues as well as not being shown off at EVO until later in its cycle. That just had me more endeared. I bought the ps4 version this morning and I haven't been able to put it down, I've ran through most story missions(Beowulf's Marie fight was rough...) I loved the voice acting, the artistic touchs in both the portraits and cutscenes, and how each story somewhat intertwines itself with all the others. I think my favorite story was Peacock both because she is my favorite character and just because how little shit she gives. I've yet to hop on multi-player, im sure I will be absolutely murdered but that's how it goes. The 6 button set up was very off-putting to me at first, I've never touched a game(non arcade) that had this and I was hesitant, but I hopped on the tutorial for a bit and that cleaned things up tremendously. I actually greatly prefer this to the 4 button layouts that I've played.

It makes me sad how late to the party I am as well as how little coverage this game gets. This was clearly a labor of love and I know I will be playing alot of for the foreseeable future!
