I’m on Retin-A micro & since I’m trying to mitigate irritation I only wash my face 1x a day at night & rinse with water in the mornings. Usually I apply the Dapsone (Aczone) 7.5% underneath my tret. at night (I read a medical journal that layering the two can reduce irritation) but now I’m interested in applying my Dapsone in the morning but I’m curious if anyone has had any results applying it to a technically “dirty face” since i’m just going to be rinsing with a little water before. I use the Cerave moisturizing lotion & cream (layered) at night & I know they aren’t getting completely washed off in my morning rinse since both of those have Dimethicone in them. I’m a little scared that there would be too thick of a layer of product for the dapsone to penetrate through. Has anyone used dapsone or any topical antibiotic over moisturizer/over a rinsed face?
