Preface; So, first things first is that skincare is the one thing in this life that I do spend money on. Right now, the issue is that I currently don't have any coming in (fighting for government aid, SDI, and disability currently), so if we could keep things a bit cheaper until I get some money in, I'd be super grateful. I will also be making a list and trying to find deals or coupons or just wait until I get money in.
Anyways, long story short is that I have involuntary, unnoticed SH tics. I'm a scratcher. I don't even know when I'm doing it which is why my service dog interrupts me when he sees it. But, his belly was really upset the other day and I had a really busy day so.. Basically throughout the day I created a fairly large (probably 2.5"x2.5") wound right below my jawline on the left side. I'm also a picker when it gets to this point. I am trying to do my best to keep myself from touching it, but I can't wear gloves all day every day.
My skin is combination, but lately, I have been feeling extra dry. I have a huge collection of skincare products for literally everything except for toners. For toners, I've been using a glycolic acid toner I got in the Allure monthly box. Obviously that is a pretty painful and unkind toner for where my skin is right now. I do rub neosporen on top of it while I do my serums and treatments and such to avoid as much contact with it as possible, but I'd really just like to find a more gentle toner for my face because even though this has become a rare occurrence for me, it still happens.
I do not like Micellar water. It didn't sit well with my skin. AI have tried Thayers and my derm told me that witch hazel can be irritating which it was. I'm looking for something that isn't oily but also isn't going to make my skin dry out.
Shoot me your suggestions, friends.
