Hello all,
For the longest time I've been struggling with a very greasy irish/scottish kind of ruddy face that gets overwhelmed with oily grease about 2 hours after my morning rinse-off, even when applying Benzoyl peroxide or hydrating argan oil.
I tried a bunch of different routines including literally carrying a spray bottle with me and spraying the grease off every hour or so, which helped but didn't eliminate it. Recently I noticed that applying my toothpaste has a special effect on my face, it makes the skin dry up without cracking or becoming completely red. I can use it to heal a raw oily pimple wound very quickly. I noticed the active ingredient in the paste is 0.54% stannous fluoride.
Recently I started experimenting with a completely off-the-wall way to apply this paste on to my face. The grease was getting really bad right at my hairline and causing ugly whitehead and ruddy acne everywhere. So, once my face dried off from my morning rinse-off, I took the white paste and applied it all over my forehead. In the beginning, it was very white and noticeable, but after working the paste into my skin it kind of slowly blended in and in the end it just looked like I had applied some kind of white foundation (actually helps my tone considering my face gets so ruddy and red).
Throughout the day I noticed that my forehead was not producing any greasy oil, instead the toothpaste was staying intact and my forehead was completely dry. Because my skin was not bathing in that oily grease, it looked amazing, with no whiteheads or little bumps. I'm applying argan oil overnight, and tomorrow I will apply a layer of toothpaste on my whole face after my shower and see if the magic effects that it has on my forehead will replicate on the rest of my face.
Anyone else have similar results?
