[Acne] My mom says that if I wash my face twice a day, everyday, with soap and water, my acne will go away. Is this true?

Hey there! Just for the record Iām a teenage boy with oily skin
I said that I wanted to start trying out different acne creams/treatments for my face, but my mom keeps saying no. Sheās more of the ānatural organicā type and for some reason, against otc stuff. I think she just doesnāt wanna try new thong and support me. My dad would help me go buy the stuff if I need it.
I first want to find out whether or not my momās claim is true. If itās not, what sort of stuff would I use for my face? I am completely new to this
