I typically use these to help heal blemishes, but they've also work amazingly for burns, blisters, and today I realized how well it works for itchy patches of skin. I have had an itchy elbow off and on for the last 2 days. I considered applying some polysporin to a regular bandaid but realized I could probably use a hydrocolloidal bandage. I use the hydro seal band-aid brand and cut the squares into whatever shape I need. I cut a circle just large enough to cover the irritated skin. Within about 30 minutes it was not itchy at all.
These bandages are a bit hard to find in store and usually quite pricey, especially if you buy the ones precut into circles. I recommend looking on Amazon and find ones that comes in large squares. It's much better value. The entire surface is usable, you just need to trim it.
