Hi everyone!

I’ve been suffering from CCs for a while now and they’re really bothering me ): I’d like to get rid of them ASAP, but I’m not sure what’s causing them. I was wondering what causes CCs?

I know they can be hormonal. I’m currently on birth control so I’m not sure if it could be hormonal. Although, I have been experiencing other symptoms that could be hormonal. So I am planning on going to get my hormones tested soon.

I know it could also be fungal, which I think is a possibility. I am planning on buying that Norziral (I think that’s how it’s spelt) shampoo soon. If it is fungal, will this clear it up? Or maybe would I have to try multiple antifungals to rule it out?

General clogging ingredients. Are there any ingredients that are known to cause closed comedones?

Anything else I’m missing?

Here’s my routine:

AM

  • cleanse with water
  • FAB ultra repair cream
  • la Roche Posay SPF (I’m not sure which one as I bought it in Germany and I don’t speak German lol)

PM

  • oil cleanse (castor and jojoba)
  • wipe with water and a wash cloth
  • tretinoin every other day or every 2 days depending on how my skin is feeling

    • acv distilled water on days I don’t use tret
    • FAB URC mixed with HA cream
    • oil (usually rosehip or maracuja)

I also just bought TO niacinimide zinc but haven’t used it yet.
