About 7 months ago I got a scooter and started riding it around quite a bit. Important to mention that I am living on the North African coastline right now so it gets very humid, even in winter.
My helmet is a half-face helmet (don't worry, I'm going pretty slow with the 50cc scooter) and therefore something I've noticed is that when riding, especially close to the coast, after I get home there's a thin layer of sweaty-looking sticky saltwater that was hanging about in the air and that my face collected. Of course, just my face being covered in this reflective sweaty film makes me look terrible, but I've also noticed it seems to encourage acne breakouts and even the rare facial cyst, probably because a wet film of latent seawater on my face attracts a bunch of bacteria that infiltrate my microscopic razor cuts and immediately multiply.
Has anyone else who lives in a similar climate and who rides without a full face helmet noticed a similar effect? What would you recommend to minimize the effect of this film of sweaty-looking seawater on my pores?
