So a little background, I've had really bad, painful cystic acne when I was in high school and I was given Proactiv by my family to use, but it didn't help at all. My skin started becoming really oily and the acne would come and go seasonally. It got worse when I stopped using Proactiv for a while. I'm 22 and in college now and my skin is a bit better. Not so oily anymore, but still the occasional acne. Thankfully the cystic acne stopped around freshman year of high school. Unfortunately, my skin is a mess. The acne left dark red marks all over my skin that hasn't faded for years. Like with every problem in my life I turned to Reddit to solve it and found /r/skincareaddiction! I read through the sidebar and faq to find routines and product recommendations. So I came up with this.

AM Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser Paula's Choice 2% BHA Gel Exfoliant Porcelana Skin Lightening Day Cream Cerava SPF50 Sunscreen Face Lotion

PM Same as AM except for instead of sunscreen I use Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer

I saw that acid peels also help in reducing my red marks so I was thinking about getting MUAC 55% Lactic Acid Peel

Does this routine work out? I tried to pick my items based on the descriptions for the items in the sidebar. Thanks!
