My lips have been permanently chapped for years basically, no matter how much water I drank (lots every day) or how much lip balm I applied. My MIL gave me a bunch of toiletries and makeup, including a bottle of Scentuals Vitamin E oil. I looked up it's uses online and it said to apply to scarring, etc, and that it made a really good lip balm.
I was curious and decided to add some to my skincare routine by applying to my lips twice a day, dabbing off excess and letting it sit for 20 minutes or so before applying any other lip products. Honestly, I've tried EVERY lip balm in the drug store and nothing helped like this stuff does. I am getting very, very minimal peeling dry lip skin- usually only after heavily applying lipstick throughout the day. I love it so much and my lips look and feel like satin.
Using vitamin E oil as a lip balm didn't come up in the subreddit search so I just thought I'd share. :) Highly recommended.
