I've used the salicylic acid in the past with great results but I switched to a PHA/AHA blend from Neutrogena because I wanted to save money. That product turned out to be not so great for my skin. I used it alone in the summer, my skin was okay. I went to Europe for three weeks in September and only brought my argan oil with me as a moisturizer. When I came back, I used the Neutrogena product along with all this that I bought when I came back.
I broke out really badly so I stopped everything for two weeks. My skin cleared up and I used only the Neutrogena product again for the last two to three weeks and now I'm breaking out again.
I'm going to just toss that product but I'd like to know how I can incorporate these into my regimen so I don't break out?
I realized the peel already has BHA so maybe I should just use alternate days with the salicylic acid and retinol? Once that's used up I'll just use the peel as a mask on its own?
For reference I use the Burt's Bees fermented honey gel cleanser and the Aztec green clay mask with ACV once a week.
