I've been told my routine is excessive. I am 39 with oily/complex skin that is prone to break outs and dark blemishes. I break out when I am very stressed if I don't maintain my routine (I am guilty of stopping for a few weeks, maybe a month at a time). I 'feel' like I am doing something right since most people assume I am in my late 20s or early 30s usually.

I got this plan from someone I was dating a few years ago and have kept it up ever since. The retinol does not cause me to peel or anything despite using it almost every day.

My routine (almost daily, usually every other day):
Face wash (Neutrogena)

Exfoliate w/ face scrub (Also Neutrogena)

Dr Dennis Gross - Exfoliate pads, Alpha/Beta

- Wait a few minutes before applying first serum.

Vitamin C E Furelic serum (SkinCeuticals)

- Wait 30mins between each serum and then retinol. Do work or other things in the meantime.
Blemish Age Defense (Also SkinCeuticals)

Retinol 1.0 (Also SkinCeuticals)

Tretinoin (0.025%)

Is my routine excessive?

Edit: I did forget to add, I use a moisturizer (I forgot the name, also from SC) and I work nights, so I tend to sleep during the day usually, but I do use a sunscreen when I go out.
