Adjusting from momentum mod surfing to source?

I hopped on source played some t2 servers, I made it almost to the last stage on the simpsons map on momentum mod but for some reason I couldn't even get past stage 3 on the source engine.
Any advice? Wanting to try to get to t3 by next month.
