As the title states, AFVEC states that my Skillbridge Application was denied by my section for "lack of performance." I had a 3 hour meeting with them to discuss why they denied it, and there was no exact reason other than them generally not liking me for personal reasons. I show up to work, get my work done, and do extra where I can mentally afford to do it. My ANA'S and EPRs all reflect this with me getting good marks every year and every midterm across multiple supervisors.
What I personally believe caused this is me missing a deployment in Q2. I had been in communication with my section, telling them in early Q4 of the prior year that I am seeking medication that will make me non-deployable during the trial phase. They said it was fine; then I received my medication approval in Q2 that caused them to take me off the deployment roster even though I told them not to have me on it in the first place. Their reasoning was that I might be able to deploy because I haven't gotten the medicine yet. They harped on this a lot during our meeting.
They told me that they denied my skillbridge because there wasn't enough manning to support me going to a non-funded position (skillbridge), but also that they think I don't deserve it.
I now am in possession of a packet of information that shows they have the manning to support it, but also has multiple years' worth of supervisor feedback to show that I'm not "not peforming".
I don't really know what else to do, but I feel betrayed by my leadership, as I trusted them and believed that they had our best interests on mind.
Edit: I feel that I should add this. During previous requested feedbacks, my supervisor told me on more than one occasion that I was doing well and that my EPR was going to look great when it came due. Fast forward maybe 4 or 5 months, and my skillbridge has been denied and my supervisor is telling me that the section chiefs think I'm terrible and don't perform to their standards.
