Post Body

I'm in the USAF, and I started with a vet clinic in the nearby town. It's been a week and I feel way in over my head. I was able to get my location approved before the 1 Oct change to only who is listed on the SB website.

We have a vet clinic on base and I am thinking of asking my CC if I can change to interning there instead. The clinic I'm at now is so busy that they don't have time to train me and I actually got bit by dogs twice in the week I've been there because they just told me to do something without teaching me the right way first.

I had been seeing mental health in the past year for anxiety and I completed treatment but this has been a pretty stressful week and the anxiety is creeping back up.

The clinic on base is a lot slower/less volume of animals but I feel it's not an option since I already went through the process of interning where I'm at (AFVEC, etc.)

For example, this clinic I'm at now is very tiny, about 1,000sqft and almost every day I walk 6,000 to 8,000 steps inside the building because of how busy they are. My spouse has commented how tired I look when I get home. We don't take breaks, I am doing something every minute of the day except 1hr for lunch and I'm there 8am-5pm M-F.

Thanks for any advice, I will post in the AF sub as well.

(for any advice on ending the internship and going back to work at my old job on base, I guess that's a possibility but I worked on the flightline and it would be until I start terminal leave in March)
