Hi everyone,

Let's see...I always have trouble writing these posts. I'm trying to think of something witty or attention grabbing, but I have writer's block. I want to be in a relationship, and I want to find my partner. I want to form a connection through natural conversation and not through an interview. Let's talk. Here is some information about me.

About me:

I was born and raised in Texas. I grew up in a small town then moved to the big city. It sounds like a plot for a cliche movie. I live near Houston. While I love Texas, my heart is not set on living here. I want to travel and explore other places and find the right place for me. It depends on work and my partner. Texas could be that place. Maybe, maybe not.

You might have guessed that I am 25 years old. I am of Asian descent, specifically South Asian. I am pursuing a career in medicine, so I am currently in medical school. And.......that's that.

Hobbies/Interests: We do not have to share the same hobbies and interests because I think a connection is more important. I want to understand my partner and having similar interests is the icing on the cake. - Movies and TV (Sci-fi, horror, and crime): "Inception", "Godzilla Minus One", "The Thing" (1982), "Shutter Island". - Exercising, especially running. Nothing beats running outside. I lift, too. I think my favorite exercises are back related. - Food (Thai, Mediterranean, and Indian). I like to try different restaurants and to cook new dishes. I like all cuisines, but these are my favorites. - Reading. I like sci-fi and mystery, but I am open to any genre. I think it would be awesome to read the same book together. - Boardgames and videogames. I have played several Boardgames, and my favorite was Arboretum. - Nature-y stuff. I like walking outside and taking in the view. I like walking along trails. It would be nice do something like that with a partner. - Music (Instrumental, orchestral, and rap). I listen to songs from each genre. I listen to music occasionally, usually when I walk outside or during car rides. - Investing

I want to pickup a few more hobbies and interests such as learning the piano or learning a new language. It's great if we share some interests, but again, it's not necessary. We can even pickup a joint hobby if it gets to that point.

What I seek in a partner:

I generally like people of most sizes and shapes. However, I hope to find someone whose lifestyle aligns with an active and healthy approach to life. Physical compatibility is important to me, and I'm attracted to individuals who prioritize their health and fitness. I appreciate all body types, but I'm most drawn to someone who shares a similar. Physical attraction is important to me, but there particular set of characteristics I could pinpoint. I believe romance and intimacy are vital to a relationship, so I love someone that is extremely physically affectionate. I enjoy being around my partner a lot, so I would like someone who wants the same. That does not mean we have to be around each other 24/7. Although, no complaints here if you do want to be with me 24/7. Lastly, I want someone who makes a conscious effort in the relationship. It feels nice to be appreciated. I never want the relationship to be one-sided, though. A few notable qualities in my potential partner are open-mindedness, calmness, and versatility.

Personality:

I would describe myself as a reserved yet adventurous individual. While I tend to be serious, my playful side emerges once I'm comfortable with someone. I have a fondness for sarcasm and good-natured teasing on occasion. I am a homebody. I would like to think I am an affectionate person and that I would go above and beyond for my partner.

Physical Description:

My height is about 5' 7" ~ ish. I used to be a short hair guy, but I was converted to long hair-inism. I currently have long black hair with plans to continue growing it out. I have never tried growing a beard, and I might someday. I typically sport some stubble, but I prefer being clean shaven. My skin complexion is light caramel or maybe medium caramel? It depends on the season and location. I tend to get baked in the Texas heat. My eyes are dark brown. I have a slim to average body type. I mentioned previously that I enjoy running and lifting, so I would like to think I am somewhat fit and muscular.

Religion & Politics:

I like to call myself a non-resistant nonbeliever, which is similar to agnosticism. I took a philosophy course in college, and this term stuck with me. I attended a Christian church when I was younger, and my undergraduate school was Christian, too. My parents practice Hinduism, so I have some exposure to religion. I am not religious, though. I am open to anyone regardless of religious affiliation, and I would definitely like to learn about your religion. The same thinking applies to politics. I think it is important to be challenged and to grow as a result. It's hard to pinpoint my political stance, but it is neither conservative nor democratic. My political ideology is always evolving, and I prioritize my autonomy of thought and action. I hate the divisive nature of partisan politics.

Kids:

I do not want kids. I would rather use my time to focus on my partner, hobbies, and career. It is a lifestyle preference. I could not imagine anyone other than my partner being the number one person in my life.
