I'm pretty nervous.
First off because it's his birthday and I'm not sure he would even want to deal with all that on his birthday. I don't think I would.
Secondly, I have no idea how to act around children especially in this situation. Should I try to talk to him or just give him space to process at first? How can I be nice without it feeling forced for the both of us? What the hell do you even talk about with a 10 year old? Should I get him a present?
Sorry if this is all ridiculous, like I said I'm very nervous about it.
