Dating - Men, women, timing & exclusivity??

Post Body

I keep going out with men who seem to want to jump into a relationship right away…like within the first few dates they want to be committed as a couple. I’m looking for that but I don’t think people should commit first then get to know each other. Men: how long does it usually take you to decide whether you want a relationship with someone? How do you decide? Is it more about timing than the person? Sometimes I feel like they could’ve met anyone with certain traits and they would want to lock that person down because they are just ready for a serious relationship. How do I know that it’s actually me that they really want? I don’t wanna waste another six months or a year dating someone only to break up and have to go through the heartache again. What are the options for risk mitigation with that?
