😬 My 9 year old is expressing that he hates his mom, my ex. We’ve been divorced for 5 years, and it’s had ups and downs.
I know he gets grounded a lot (both houses each time) and he’s about to hit puberty, so I know these kinds of feelings will pass.
My son trusted me enough to tell me this in confidence. We’ve been working on getting him to open up about his feelings in general.
I know if I tell her he feels that way, she’ll be devastated. I can’t decide if full transparency with her is the best approach. Help!
