I need advice. Sorry If I make this long. 22 with a 2 year old daughter. My college program runs for 8 weeks at a time. I'm currently at the stage where I'm back at work for 3 months. Just recently went from August to beginning of October. Won't be back until January. While I was at college I met a girl. 19 years old. We've hung out once since I've known her for about a month since we are both busy. We've been texting more heavily for the better part of 2 weeks. I have not told her I have a daughter yet. I want to wait until we see each other in person but could be until 3 more months. If I wait that long I feel like I'd be lying to her and may lose her trust. I'm not sure when the best time is. I'm kinda scared honestly. This is my first time trying to date someone since having a daughter. We've just been taking things slow and talking as friends. Still getting to know each other. So any advice would be helpful. Thanks
You need to say something now my man, I have my daughter full time and told my current partner of a year almost straight away. She may really like you but at the same time she may not want to be with a guy that has 1 or more children for whatever reason it is and dragging it out will hurt even more down the line after feelings have grown if this is the case when you do say something. Be up front and honest from the start, that will make a massive difference to how your potential relationship turns out! Lying/not being honest/hiding stuff will just destroy any relationship eventually! It was all new to me when I 1st met my partner but I just said really early on so she knew I came as a duo with my daughter and let her decide if she wanted to pursue a relationship with me. I am really glad I did because she is an amazing women and she treats my daughter like her own when we are all together. Wishing you all the best!
