So I'm a paying parent in the UK split up with my wife just over 2 years ago and never had CSA involved we worked it out between us and agreed £60 per week. I have my son all weekend every weekend over night Friday overnight Saturday if its school holiday I will have him overnight Sunday aswell.
Now like I said there was never a problem I never missed a payment and I even buy him all school clothes shoes coats etc which I'm more than happy to do but I've recently got a new girlfriend and suprise surprise she's gone through CSA which has back fired there saying I need to pay £50.01 per week.
Now this is my question I know for a fact that money doesn't go on my son, i used to gibe her the money on a friday evening when i get in from work, one day she rung me up before i got home asking if i could put the money in now because she want to go out drinking, then the same a week later and the week after that. So i told her my work doesnt pay me no more on a friday its now monday just to try and make sure at least some of it goes on my son and if she want to use it for drinkong on a weekend she would have to save it.
Also she has 2 other childrent to a previous partner and she told me she uses his money to pay her car insurance. She's a stay at home mum who doesn't work and since we've split up she's bought a new corner leather sofa a 6 person lazy spa hot tub, and a new king size bed. So finally my question is can I do something or say something? I have no problems paying CSA but I do have a problem of funding her life style.
Sorry for the essay but I thought if I explained the situation it might not come across that I'm being bitter
