Context:

So I made two playable sims before, one with family(Judd) and one without(Klaus). To cut it short, Judd basically divorced his wife due to his wife being hot-headed and quickly getting jealous. Due to the end of marriage and loneliness, Judd fell for this other sim of mine, Klaus, his ex-workmate(a gay one). Eventually, they moved in together and adopted a baby. While playing Sims, a friend of the sims (Coco St. Pierre from AHS Apocalypse) called Judd to notify him that his ex-wife passed away.

I've been out of the Sims game for quite some time, I think I've been MIA for 6months before I started playing again. So I am not sure if this is possible.

Update: Judd and Klaus went over to the former's ex-home and find the urn on the doorstep, with Judd's teenage daughter and child son basically alone in the world now. While "grieving", the son was whisked away by Child Services and it was all so crazy for me!

I am not sure if this is part of the new update or something, I wasn't able to know what is the cause of death for the ex-wife(it is not of old age since I froze their age so they stay that way forever unless I made them celebrate their birthday). My first mystery for Sims 4 when I got back is that Judd and Klaus' original child got whisked away while I am not playing the game for months.

Can someone shed a light on this? I didn't save the game so I alter the universe's timeline, and Judd's ex-wife is still alive and I will try to get Judd there asap to prevent her death or something. But they are not on good terms since ex-wife is a homophobe and couldn't accept the fact that his DILF ex-husband moved on with his life with another man.

Hope someone could shed a light on this mystery, I am not updated with any updates etc. so far I literally just got back two days ago from many months of not playing.

UPDATE:

I think I am able to save the ex-wife but I CANNOT stop my child son to be whisked away! All bars are in good condition idk what's happening
