Any tips for catching the golden mahi mahi

I've been trying to complete every collection in the game including DLC. I have every single sulani fish except for the golden mahi mahi and ive been trying to catch it for about 3 in game days. ive tried using vegtables as bait and ive tried at shore and in deep water and have failed to have caught it (note. my sim is level 10 in fishing a max level marine biologist and a virtuoso spellcaster if any of that matters)
