University graduation bug?

I'm new to sims 4, it took a while for me to decide to switch from sims 3, so I don't know if this is a thing or not. I was in at the start of my third semester of university but was getting kind of bored and had a few days before classes started so I decided to hop on a different character. Well after 2 days I went back to my main and checked how much longer until his next class when I noticed it said I had all 12 credits and had graduated. I have no idea what happened, but am glad it did. Is this a known thing or did I get the best bug ever?
