DLC question/help

Hello everybody! I apologize if this was already a thread but I don’t have time to look at the moment. I just need to know something. I have the sims 4 downloaded on my PlayStation 4, with downloaded expansions from the store. My friend has a disc version of the cats and dogs bundle, and I’m wondering if I borrow that from him and use it to download cats and dogs, will I still have the cats and dogs DLC if I launch the game through downloads, and not the disc? Thanks.
