I recently got back into the sims after building my own gaming PC, and I’ve been trying to challenge myself to stick with one family/save a little more because I have a chronic case of restart-itis. I came across taeskii’s astrology legacy challenge (can’t figure out how to hyperlink on mobile) and thought it was cool, but I’m too stubborn to follow someone else’s legacy rule set, so I thought; I could go with this, but personalize it! Basically, my version of the challenge will have each planet tailored to my birth chart. For example, rather than having just a “sun” generation, I’m doing a scorpio sun generation. After that, I’ll progress through my other placements, and the traits that will be most relevant to my sims will be based on the astrological significance of each individual astrological placement. I’ll probably include rising sign as a generation too. If you really wanted to randomize the order, you could also base the generation order off which “house” your placements fall into, but that’s perhaps getting way too into the depths of astrology lol.

Obviously this takes a bit of effort, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the more nitty gritty astrology stuff, but I think it will be really fun! If you find astrology meaningful to you, it might also make the challenge suit your play style well because all the characters will essentially be little parts of you. It also makes things a little more lax while still having structure, because individual astrological placements tend to be more specific; for example, your venus generation’s romantic storyline would be more influenced by there legacy challenge, whereas their career goals are more up to you.
