TLDR: game crashed and I lost my family after almost 12 hours of work and after crying for ten minutes I wrote down their backstory that I created in my head

After almost 12 hours yesterday of working in CAS (create a sim) for ym newest family for the troublemaker scenario and after about 9ish hours my game unexpectedly crashed as soon as I was done with the three humans and started working on a dog (I learned today that the dog wouldn't have been able to join the family in CAS anyways) and I decided to write down my backstory for this family and I wanted to share it with people who would actually care.

First generation Filipina immigrant, Althea Cruz met her soon to be husband, James Bennett while she was studying at Foxbury University. Althea was studying Economics to get a head start as an investor in the business career, whereas James was studying psychology to be a secret agent. At first he doesn’t tell Althea why he’s studying psych but they end up dating anyways, but end up breaking up shortly after graduation due to the fact that since James is a secret agent, he travels all over the world and doesn’t believe that he has the time to really be in a serious relationship. But after some time and they both make it pretty far in their respective fields, they end up meeting again and realise that the spark between them is still there. So they end up getting married and decide to settle down in the town of Brindleton Bay, specifically in the Cavalier Cove neighbourhood. Shortly after getting married they end up having a beautiful baby girl named Courtney.

Courtney was a brilliant child from the moment she was born. She was multi-talented, particularly in violin and singing as well as logic and wellness. Courtney was always at the top of her class but didn’t always have the best relationship with her parents. Growing up as an only child had its pros and it has its cons. For example, growing up Courtney was really close with her mom and still is because she didn’t have to fight for her mom’s attention with other children, but she doesn’t have the best social skills when it comes to kids her age. She also has a very distant and difficult relationship with her father James. James wasn’t always around when Courtney was growing up due to him being a secret agent, so as a way to make up for it, he got Courtney a dog on her 10th birthday. It was a pitbull/amstaff mix whom she named, Sunny. The two of them were the best of friends and while she loved Sunny with all of her heart, it didn’t really make up for her dad being gone all the time. So when James was finally able to get a desk job with the Agency, and able to be a more consistent presence in his daughter’s life, it was unfortunately too late according to Courtney, and it was only going to get worse.

When James was offered the desk job with the Agency, it came with a catch. James was going to have to move to the city of Copperdale, a whole 300 miles away from Courtney’s hometown of Brindleton Bay. The slightest brightside Courtney can come up with is the fact that with the promotion and job transfer her dad got, is that she would be able to attend the most prestigious private school in the country, Copperdale Academy. They say that the school is best known for sending a majority of their students to the ivy league. Before the move, Courtney would’ve had to attend The Landgraab Institute of Education, and let’s just say that Courtney wouldn’t have been able to deal with four more years of going to school with the real life version of Simon Kelleher, himself, Malcolm Langdgraab. He thinks he can get away with everything just because his parents are super rich and own most of the nationwide companies such as Landgraab Power and Water as well the aforementioned school. Plus he’s either pulling the biggest political powermove of all time or is just listening to his parents' demands for even more control of the nation by dating Cassandra Goth, eldest daughter of the other biggest most influential power couple, Mortimer and Bella Goth.

Luckily Courtney wouldn’t have to deal with these two banes of her existence for very much longer as she was actually looking forward to her fresh start at a new school. Maybe she will become even more of a brainiac and graduate top of her class as valedictorian or perhaps she will fall into a life of petty crime and pranks as a way to lash out at her g-man father who was never around.

I even went to google looking up connected maps of all of the sims 4 worlds to get a good idea as to how far I wanted them to have moved away from the main characters hometown
