question about trendi

I recently acquired the high school years expansion and have been playing around with the various features. One of which was trendi, my sim bought a bunch of outfits and relisted all but one for resale. After a few games days the one outfit I liked for her from the bunch now no longer as the 'wear outfit option' and only a sell option. Does access to the outfit expire or something? I'm quite confused. Thanks all!
