Does anyone else keep your main sims bf/gf as a roommate instead of merging households?

Post Body

I've been thinking about it a lot lately and came to the conclusion that I hate controlling sims that aren't the ones I made or the children. Like I hate suddenly being able to control my sims wife cause then it just feels boring and predictable. I like the mystery, I like being surprised at the things they do. I find myself just moving my sims partners in as roommates to work around this issue and it is soooo much better.
