Forced from Origin to EA App and now can no longer access my sims 3 games
Post Body

Apologies if this isn't a good place to ask - I posted on the EAApp sub with no responses yet, and I've been trying to get in touch with EA support after finally finding a way to open a case without being logged in, but no advisor has shown up to assist despite a "1 minute wait time" and it's well over that now.

Today I decided I wanted to play Sims 3 after not playing for a while. I always logged in to origin with my ID/password and had no trouble. Today it tells me I have to switch to the EA app and knowing nothing about this change I just let it install thinking everything would migrate over just fine. Now it wants me to give a verification code sent to an email address that I'm pretty sure isn't even mine and I definitely have no access to it. I never had an issue before because I was never asked for verification so I had no idea the email on it wasn't the one I actually use.

I found some workaround to keep using origin and re-downloaded origin, but now the origin app also wants this verification code I can't give. I have the entire collection of expansions, most of which I paid full price for like a decade ago...so it feels like I've had hundreds of dollars stolen from me at this point because I have no way to start my game now.

I'm at a loss of what to do... is there anyway to open sims 3 without either launcher? Does anyone have suggestions for how to get in contact with EA support? I'm still sitting with my case window open and no assistance and it's been like half an hour of "1 minute wait time" lol. I'm so sad, I love this game and spent so much money on it over the years. :(

Edit: this is thankfully resolved now and I was able to get support to switch the email on my ID so I could login to my account again. EA help is extremely frustrating and seems purposely difficult to access, but I am grateful I was able to get it back in the end. If anyone comes across this having the same issue I'd be happy to share what steps I took while in contact with support though I think the major factor was having some of the product keys tied to the account.
