Post Body

Now I am willing to admit to the fact that I got into 40k about ten years ago and obviously it hit better back then because I was in high school, but I stand by that the only enjoyable way to read 40k is the way the codexes and rulebooks present it: As a history.

There are outliers but I think its safe to say that the majority of 40k media is at best okay, and worst completely dissolve the feeling that the rulebooks give to the setting. Inevitably 40k media either needs to tone the setting down to have remotely identifiable characters, at least so far in regards to the Imperium.
