So, my neighbor dropped this bomb on me the earlier today: "You're blind because God loves you." Seriously?! Comments like that really get under my skin. It's like saying someone was abused because their abuser loved them. It's downright ridiculous and infuriating.
I mean, come on! Being blind isn't some twisted form of affection from a higher power. It's just a part of who I am, not some divine punishment or blessing.
Sorry for the rant, but I had to get that off my chest. Let's all agree to think before we speak and avoid spewing such nonsensical, hurtful statements.
